Thomas Campbell (). The Exile of Erin. Warner, et al., comp. The Library of the World's Best Literature. The Works Of Edgar Allan Poe [ One Volume Edition, With Critical Essays On Elizabeth Barrett Browning, R. H. Horne, Thomas Babington Macaulay, Charles Lever, Charles Dickens, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Nathaniel Hawthorne, And Essays On The Poetic Principle, The Philosophy Of Composition, And The Phiolosphy Of Furniture]. There is no doubt that Poe's legacy will live on forever, his writing still with us, but even so, Poe is long gone, dead, and buried in Baltimore, MD, the place he died. Even on his headstone, a raven sits under the carved in word, "Nevermore" at the grave of the brilliant man, whose pen has been stilled forever more. “At one time, huntsmen for most of the important packs in America came from this part of Virginia,” Poe said. The late Alexander Mackay-Smith wrote in his book The American Foxhound that this corner of the world gave rise to the model of the American hound as recognized in the Master of Foxhounds studbook today.
